FLEXUS
The Manfredini Signature
"Flexus" represents the pinnacle of my search for the "living statue." In this horizontal composition, the body is at once fragile and indestructible. The tension in the legs creates a powerful geometric architecture that dominates the frame, while the lighting emphasizes the muscularity and the texture of the skin with clinical precision. This work is more than a pose; it is a statement of intent. It encapsulates thirty years of understanding how to translate the heat of the human body into the cold, timeless silence of a fine art print. The hands, barely touching the ground but providing the necessary anchor, speak of balance—a balance between the explicit and the artistic, the physical and the transcendental. "Flexus" is not just an image; it is the visual vocabulary that defines my legacy.

Behind the Image
Flexus — The Photographer's Statement
"If I had to be remembered for a single arrangement of limbs and light, it would be this one. People often ask me about the 'Manfredini style,' and I always point them toward Flexus.
It's an interrogation of strength. I asked the model to hold a position that is physically demanding—not for the sake of the effort, but for the sake of the tension. When muscles are awake, they tell a story that soft skin can't. I lit it to feel like moonlight in a laboratory: cold, honest, and utterly revealing."

Amalfi Mat
Handmade Cotton Paper — A Medieval Tradition for Art
The magic behind handmade paper lies in the uniqueness of every single sheet. A centuries-old tradition kept alive by small, family-driven paper mills producing this limited-edition medium. The deckled edges of Amalfi paper are formed through ancient procedures: cotton pulp is filtered and spread on a wooden screen, manually, sheet by sheet — an art dating back to the 13th century. Each sheet becomes a singular frame that elevates Alex Manfredini's photographs with quiet, irreplaceable elegance.
